Fun Cinemas’ AVP Programming, Bhumika Tewari says, “Last week, we had a good opening at the box-office with Hello. This week too we were expecting a good opening weekend with Karzzzz. But it was very dissappointing at just 25 per cent.”

Single screens across the country had collections ranging from 45–55 per cent. Mumbai’s single screens recorded opening weekend collections of about 50 per cent.

At PVR Cinemas, an official said, “On Friday, Karzzzz opened very poorly at around 20 per cent. We had hoped it would pick up on Saturday and Sunday but it only did so marginally, by just 5–10 per cent more.”

Manoj Desai of G-7 multiplex, says, “We had collections ranging from 40–50 per cent for the opening weekend. But they have begun spiraling downwards from Monday.”
